Viewer sends every cursor movement position ?!?

Post by Guest »

I'm using a modem, errr, realy wireless modem running at about 24bps, and RC18.

Using the Browser/Java applet, it seems that the cursor position (from browser->server) is sent about once a second, which is good in that respect vs the viewer program which seems to send every cursor update it gets from the mouse.

So, using the Browser/Java applet, I can click somewhere, and the action happens about 2 seconds later as the [server] cursor has now moved to where I want it.

Using the Viewer takes many, many more seconds as the viewer seems to send every mouse update it can. Takes at least 5 seconds, and up to 10 seconds (maybe more) for the cursor on the server to catch up and then get my mouse click.

Any thoughts for not sending so many cursor movements from the viewer, or ???

Thanks,
Dave

you may want to use a newer version of UltraVNC and speed up your internet connection. Keep in mind that you are sending video and cursor positionings over a tcp/ip network the faster the connection the better the responce..:)
