Only 16 colors when connecting to Hyper-V VM

Viewer and server 1.1.8, server installed in Hyper-V VM with 2008R2.
The server always falls back to 16 colors when the viewer connects, same on console and in viewer window.

Feature? Bug? Or did I miss any setting(s)?

There is a similar effect when you try and use 1.1.8 on a PC with Terminal Server software (TSPlus) installed.

When I connect to the PC itself (not a VM running on the PC, but the actual server) then I can only get 16 colours if the mirror driver is running. If I stop the mirror driver, I get full colours. Version 1.0.9.6.2 works OK with or without the mirror driver.

Same problem here with 1.1.8.0:
- Mirror driver in Hyper-V VM active: screen with 16 colors almost unreadable
- Mirror driver in Hyper-V VM disabled: color OK but screen refresh ways too slow

Therefore I'll go back to an older version...

Same on a XenServer VM running windows server 2003.
Without mirror driver its ok, but with mirror driver colors are corrupted.

Still happening with mirror driver on XenServer Windows Server 2003 VM.
24 bpp color is fine, because the mirror driver doesn't support that.

As soon as I switch to 16 bpp, the mirror driver becomes active and the colors are distorted.
