Lossless JPEG or No JPEG encoding

Post by aegrotatio »

The Ultra and Ultra2 encodings are amazing. I can see videos over a WAN.
What I would like to know is how we could use Ultra/Ultra2 with either JPEG turned off or JPEG at "perceptually lossless" mode. This is a new encoding concept done by the TurboVNC/TigerVNC developers.

Right now when I un-check "JPEG Quality" in Ultra/Ultra2 the screen turns into a mosaic as if it were using JPEG at 0% quality. Instead I think it probably should just omit JPEG entirely.

Thanks.
