Trying to set UltaVNC up like TightVNC...

Post by timatlee »

Hello

I've upgraded from TightVNC to UltraVNC, but I'm not entirely clear how to make one user/password have view-only access, and a 2nd user/password have read/write access.

I'm not in a domain environment, and not certain how to configure the NT Domain security.

Anyone know of a good how-to, or could provide me a few pointers? Do I need to put the user to have view-only access in group 3, and the read/write user in group 1?

Thanks for any help....

We just started with consolidating the documentation, so have a look at http://doc.ultravnc.net/
Regarding MS-Logon, there are (currently) two flavors available:
Use MS-Logon I if you have Win9x machines.
use MS-Logon II if you need cross-domain authentication.
