apply button removes settings?

Post by Dudenell »

Maybe I'm just dumb but everytime I'm hitting the apply button to change a setting in windows 7 (two computers, one on 64 bit the other 32) the settings go back to the defaults. EX ports, password, everything. Same issue is happening on two computers that run windows 7... Just started having issues since I came home from college... no idea why.

When running as service, the save settings make use of runas and uac.

If this doesn't work, use the seperate settings program (start->program files->ultravnc-> settings)

apply button don't exist anymore
you have a old version 1.0.8.0
uvnc_settings.exe 1.0.8.2 existing buttons are only OK or Cancel

uvnc_settings don't work well, a lot of settings are never applied, my mistake too, not fully tested uvnc_settings unfinished.

my work around
i always use notepad for edit ultravnc.ini with run as administrator
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
only experienced user, not developer

Well I was always using the right click and admin properties to change setting in the past but I guess I'm not going to use that anymore...

the only other issue is that it seems like its only in view only mode even though i've added the password intot he first password box... any idea?
