Is there a FAQ or tutorial on the Hook driver?

I just installed 10.8.2 and installed the "vista" hook driver.
I'm running windows 7 ultimate 32bit

In the "properties" box, where we set the server and hook properties, there are so many options I have no idea how to set them to get a decent remote connection to my 1920x1200 screen.

Is there an explanation somewhere or a faq or maybe someone can just tell me which options to select :)
