Concurrent session on same PC

Post by Lensman99 »

Could UltraVNC be made to log into a pc on a Concurrent session? For example, local user is logged into a standard account, while remote user logs in to separate desktop session as Administrator without interrupting the user.

PSEXEC does it on the command line, maybe it would be possible.

I got the idea from this page:
http://sig9.com/articles/concurrent-remote-desktop

(Or can UltraVNC already do it?)

OK.. so it need to replace termserv.dll as detailed in the above article???
If so, how would I make it it work on the VNC side??

Note: Because I want to have indiviual passwords for different PCs, I am using standard VNC authentication instead of MS logon II. Is that a problem?

What next?

OK so after I've got a patched machine...

I don't understand... Are you saying I should connect with Remote desktop as administrator, and then connect VNC to that session?? If so, that would be pointless, because I can just use Remote Desktop to control remotely.

Is there some way to connect vnc directly to the remote desktop (hopefullly without using MS logon)?

Can you please give me more details? Multiple sessions are new territory for me.

as my knowledge.
multiple connection to separate user desktop with VNC.
VNC is for share one user logged desktop not separate desktop.
RDP you able to connect to multiple separate desktop connection through allowed and exist users on windows XP professional

remote desktop protocol (RDP) open port 3389
(mstsc.exe = Remote Desktop Connection Client)

virtual network computing (VNC) open port 5900

uncheck MSLogon to your vnc server for allow only VNC authentication
