Can't contol server until Admin Properties page is viewed

I can connect to Win XP machine running 1.0.9.6.2 from other systems (Win XP or Win 7 running the same and earlier versions) and can view the screen but cannot control the server system UNTIL a user at the server system opens the Admin properties page on the server. As soon as the Admin properties is opened from the right-click menu of the icon, the viewer system can control the server! No changes are made to the properties, just opening it seems to enable control. Once the local user opens the property page, I can close it from the viewer system.

I used to be able to control the system and this behavior seemed to start after the update to 1.0.9. I uninstalled that version and went back as far as 1.0.5 with no success. Server is running as a service. Disable Viewer inputs are unchecked, of course. I have 20+ client systems set up with UVNC and this is the only one that has this problem. I only discovered the "fix" of opening the Admin property page by accident when I had the local user do so to check the settings while I was watching from the viewer system. The remote control stays working as long as that session is running. Once the session is closed any reconnects do not work until the Admin page is opened again.

In another post,"I can't control my remote desktop, but view mode is off!" P1G0M reported what might be the same issue but its unknown if opening the Admin page solves his/her problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this weird problem would be appreciated.
