VNCViewer for Android supporting "SecureVNCplugin", please?

Post by Centauri39 »

There are quite a lot of VNC viewers around for Android devices, but none of them is supporting the SecureVNCplugin for UltraVNC.

Does anybody know, where to find such a VNC viewer?

I know, I could use one of those viewers after disabling the plugin in the UVNC server, but regarding security, that's no good idea at all.

I could also use TeamViewer as an alternative, but then, I get annoyed by this "Thank you for your fairness..."-message after TeamViewer has been closed.

So, how can I securely access and remote control my computer (XP Home SP3) via an Android phone?

I've tried to find it too, but without success :(
The only way I can suggest is the bundle of vnc client + ssh tunnel.
So the win machine should have ssh server (on machine itself or on router) and vnc server (without encryption).
Android phone should have vnc client (like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rch_result) and ssh client (like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... WN0Ym90Il0.)
So encryption is done by ssh tunnel.

Anyone find a better method?
I could use splashtop, but I'm concerned about security...

Been searching around for an Android client that supports securedVNC plugin. This was the newest thread I could find.
Is there anyone who can give a status? There was some talk about "Android-vnc, first is not on the app market, and I have an ATT phone. That mean maybe you can side load it. :-) But if I look at it right there has not been any activity since 2010.
Again, bottom line does anyone know a status for an Android client that supports securedVNC plugins?
