I downloaded the file from here, http://forum.ultravnc.info/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=27653, made the text changes, created the .exe using the 'Rel 1.00' http://www.uvnc.com/pchelpware/sc/creator.html and including a winvnc.exe 'Ultr@VNC Win32 Server SC 20.3 Build Mar 5 2011 19:34:33'.
The firewall at the viewer location is setup, the viewer is listening, the .exe file is downloaded by remote client via a link on a webpage, then to the client side dialogue(s).
1) the client (in this case using IE8) was presented with a question on whether they want to run or save and that 'this type of file could harm your computer'.
2) When the client opted to run the downloaded file they receive warning 'The publisher of xxx.exe couldn't be verified. Are you sure you want to run the program?'
The client runs the .exe and the viewer pings up with the request to open a session, which when confirmed eventually i can take control of the remote client.
3) when the session is terminated the remote client receives a 'program compatibility assistant' dialogue asking to choose either 'reinstall using recomended settings' or 'this program installed correctly' or cancel.
Dialoge (1) i think is to be expected ? i guess (2) would be quite an expense to resolve ? but (3) is this to be expected ? If not where am i going wrong ? Both on a Windows 7x64 and a Vistax32 client the same (3) happened.

Am i doing everything right ?
Re: Am i doing everything right ?
[ Please do not double-post. As you were instructed after each of your posts, new user posts require approval (it's a spam prevention measure). ]
Yes, I believe (1) is normal, unfortunately.
But the SC package you get from the online SC creator should always be signed by Rudi's key, so I'm not sure why you got error #2.
I'm not actually sure which SC creator is the right one; in addition to the URL you used, there are versions at
http://uvnc.com/downloads/single-click/ ... loads.html
and
http://www.uvnc.com/products/uvnc-sc.html
but they're probably all the same.
I would suggest SCPrompt or ChunkVNC as alternatives, but those will definitely have problem #2 (their executables aren't signed).
Question, though: did you manually force in the "winvnc.exe 'Ultr@VNC Win32 Server SC 20.3 Build Mar 5 2011 19:34:33" or was it generated by the online SC creator? If you manually changed the SC.EXE that you downloaded, that would explain why it's no longer properly signed...

Re: Am i doing everything right ?
I have to admit to not seeing the 'requires moderation' after the first post ... i made an assumption was going to be a regular forum post. Apologies for that double post. I will look at the alternatives, thank you.
