I am using SC with RC19.4 and I can see by the logs that it connects. It then fails after authenticating and SC closes. Is there a default password that SC uses?

SC Connects and closes
Re: SC Connects and closes
Well, as a Newbie I finally solved my own problem - you must use the viewer program with the -listen flag for it to work.royaloak wrote:I am using SC with RC19.4 and I can see by the logs that it connects. It then fails after authenticating and SC closes. Is there a default password that SC uses?

The syntax is:
C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -listen
Now it connects great!
Well thats good that you found out the option That stopped me for a bit but then I found the encryption area too!
Sometimes they write things... but its too small to notice hehe.. I think the only reference is if you are trying to implement security that you have to add the option for the DSM plugin.
even under UVNC's doc location it only has it at the bottom -
http://doc.uvnc.com/addons/singleclick.html
So maybe we should turn this around and say Hey ...
Please state in the intro the following -
What is SC?
UltraVNC SC is a mini (166k) UltraVNC Server that can be customized and preconfigured for download by a Customer. UltraVNC SC does not require installation and does not make use of the registry. The customer only have to download the little executable and Click to make a connection. The connection is initiated by the server, to allow easy access thru customers firewall. You must run your viewer in listen mode for this to connect properly (e.g. "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -listen OR click on the Listen Viewer from the UVNC Shortcuts)
By all means Im sure it could be simpler but.. thats what I came up with ..
