Pocket PC running JRE and web host available does work.. or at least did work for me on my internal network... I do not believe there is an app like RDC (MS) for ppc at least developed yet for UVNC.

Well

a big caveat if you arent a linux person - its for the linux PPC versions out there....

HOWEVER ---
Found this link with lots of stuff for linux and for PocketPC, WinCE and even Palm...

http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/computing/u ... cjava.html

I remember when Microsofts VM did work for the web viewer.. but the little screen just didnt do the computer justice...

I also Generalized when sayin Java Runtime Environment.. I didnt mean from sun..if you were wondering.

yes

Yes it does work with Ultravnc. However you can't use the DSM Plugin, file transfer or chat.

To connect you have to check the 8 bit mode. You also have to use the computername:port number.

Example

computername:5900

That would be great if this were improved to work with everything for the pocket VNC.

Also this would be great to work with PalmVNC

UltraVNC server is compatible with PalmVNC2, especially at the server scaling level.
Of course, FT and Chat are not implemented in PalmVNC.
