What version is SC based on today? (1/31/05)

Post by ich »

I see that there appear to be issues with rc19.6 and rc19.7, but I need to retain full functionality with the SC app - I just compiled a new .exe with the builder and I need to know what version of UVNC I should have installed on my workstation.
Thanks

SC works with RC 18, 19_4 and 19_5 listening viewers.
RC_19_4 and 19_5 work with FT.. 18 I dont think does.

Havent tested the others just yet..

I found RC19.5 to be a bit too unstable. Downgrading to RC19.4 seems to be working better. RC18 is the most stable but as stated by the previous poster, you don't have file transfer functionality with that version and the current UVNC SC.

From what I understand they rewrote the file transfer in RC19 so that is why it won't with earlier versions.

Best is to use RC194..

Can't auto import new FT in SC, so it need to wait until
RC19 is ok.

SC need to be imported in the standard source tree, tested...
Time: 1 month after RC19 ok

Thanks for the details Rudi. So, how is RC19 looking now?
I've been pretty busy lately and haven't viewed everything available, but it looks like every fix has been introducing new bugs starting with 19.5
I hope things start falling into place for everyone working on it.

RC 19.4 works fine for me. Have used it many times without any noticeable issues.
