Vista <-> XP, Black Screen, Connecting...

Post by alex24 »

Hi,

I want to run a Vista Ultimate 32bit system as viewer and XP HP 32bit as server. When I try to connect I get a black screen on the viewer side, status is "connecting", but the wallpaper is removed, so there must be happening something :)

I got no problems using two XP sytems as viewer/server and of course I downloaded the lastest version.

During the last years I never had problems with uvnc, but this seems to be a bit tricky...

Thanks

Thanks!

Now I get connected and data is transfered, but I only seee "Initial screen loading". Where's the difference to XP, which options do I have to check?

known issue reported... but not yet fixed.

you need manually set properties of winvnc properties (not winvnc admin properties)

I installed UltraVNC on windows 2003r2 standard edition server and ran in to this problem even after rebooting. I tried connecting on "medium" and
that fixed it.
