some windows ignore remote mouse clicks

Post by argeedblu »

I have UltraVnc 1.02 setup pretty much as I want. I am running between two computers on the same Windows XP Peer to Peer Network. There are a couple of glitches that I am still trying to work out.

The most significant problem I have at the moment is that some remote windows ignore mouse clicks. For example, although I can click to remotely open the Zone Alarm Console, I can't control the app with the remote mouse.

Basically I am using the remote system as a file server so I don't need to access its desktop very often. However there are times that I do and then I need full control of whatever windows and apps are open.

Is there a simple solution?

Thanks for the correction. The solution looked like it would be perfect but my version of ZA doesn't have the option suggested in the other thread.

Thanks again, but still no joy. ZA appear to have concealed the xml file at this point. The links in the other thread discussing this method are now dead.
