Repeater connection error

Post by Larko »

Hey guys, i've tried several different ports on my received. Currently using viewer port 5501 and server port 5901. Even with 443 enabled it makes no difference, I always get the error (test wise):
Failed to connect to viewer port.
When I start the server I get the error: Failed to connect, with just an OK button. There's also the message "Network stopped, closing viewer".
Anybody has any idea what to do? I've tried to find the answer on the forums here but I think I used the wrong words in my search string if the answer is around here somewhere.

Tnx in advance.

Are you using your own repeater or one of the public ones??

repeater01.ultravnc.info does not support port 443 at this time..

so if you tried that one try it again making sure to follow

ok, connecting with the repeater from the zero config works.

Now I've tried to connect to a repeater I've put up myself. But this doesn't work. I still get the problem that the viewer can not connect. Server can connect (pc i need to help) without any problems, also in to log it shows no problem. But as soon as I try to connect the viewer it gives me an error as posted before.
I did not open the port 443, only 5500 and 5902, both TCP/UDP, (5901 was already in use) also changed this is in the server file and connection manager.

Anybody got any clue what can cause this??
