Another newbie - pls help setting up!

Post by bigboy »

Dear all,

I've read all the posts here and all the step-by-steps etc. but still can't get it to work in direct/dynalias or repeater mode.
Direct mode within LAN works.

Repeater mode settings in PCHelpware_viewer:

Alias: athomerpt
Password: xxxxx
ID: (8 numbers, not 31121900)
[ ] Use Https proxy (-> not used here)
Host repeater: uvnc.com (-> ping works!)
Listen Port Viewer: 5901
Listen Port Server: 5500
UPnP: [X] Auto map

"Test" results in:
"Repeater test
Failed to set alias"

(This same error occurs in direct/dynalias mode with similar settings.)

"Start" results in error message window:
"Failed to connect"

With Debug activated I get in a DOS-Box:
fh is 3
Start uvnc.com nnnnnnnn 0 5901 (<- nnnnnnnn = ID number)
--Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet.

There is no entry in the firewall log, and same happens when firewall is deactivated.
OS is Win XP Pro SP2
Firewall is AVG 7.5
Router is AVM FBF 7050

What am I missing?

Harald
