Currently, NT domains and active directories are supported. Child domains are NOT supported, user has to belong to the server's domain
You don't enter any domain specification, server domain is used.
user=user, no user@domain or \\domain\user

Marscha have made a MS-logon2, that support different domains, and use a different syntax.
The Documentation is lacking at best
That's the reason for this forum :)

Never expect from programmers to make enduser documentation. This has to be done by a non programmer.
If domain==server domain, user==user and not user@domain
or \\domain\user.....
So obvious for me, but not for a standard enduser....

Bob, we will gadly add your vnc installer manual .... :D

With mslogon2, you can fill in the user into the group box: "MS\Test User" (without the quotes).
Or maybe more appropriate a group the user is a member of.
Anyhow, I think an account name with spaces is not a good idea.
It is possible to create such an account, but you could have problems in certain situations.

Can anyone give me an example about Config MS Login

Post by stanley.lai@mobile.com »

I am using UltraVNC v1.0.0 RC18..
But I don't know how to config MS Logon setup to enable MS authentication function..
What should I fill out in 'group' and when should I select 'local' or 'domain' ?

My environment have no domain control..only have windows pro / and windows server as stand along server

thx.

I'm working on the next release of the New MS-Logon with a different (and more intuitive) userinterface.
See [topic=917][/topic].

With the new version you get a list of groups/users where you can choose from.
