I've been trying to access my computer from outside our home network. I can connect fine without any encryption plugins, but when I try to use the AESV2 plugin, I will try to connect and then the process will hang with the negotiate protocol version message in the connect dialog. I have the plugin and key file in the Ulra VNC directory in both the server and viewer computer. I also have use the AESV2.plugin option checked on both computers. It there a problem with the plugin or is it my configuration?
OK, Now when I try to connect I get an error that says "winvnc has casued an error in winvnc.exe" I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the encryption, but I can't seem to get it to work.
does your aes plugin work within your lan?? Can you access your without any encyption?? Maybe your router is causing your issue

Ok, we might be seeing two different circumstances, then. In our instance, the viewer operates fine if I open the vncviewer gui, select the plug-in and connect to a server but it bombs if I connect to the same server using a command line and specifying the same plug-in. Pretty strange.

did u try using other encryption method ? I had used AES and it does not work and i change to another encryption method.
Note : For AES and ARC , I dont think u need to have the key file because the salt will be auto generated. Refer to the official site for more details.
