sending the secondary display over vnc?

Post by +4uRuZ »

hi there, i am using ultravnc at the time because of the scaling feature.

i have a server with win xp home running at 1280x960 with a 19" tft and a client that is running thinstation only with autostarting vnc package at 640x480 at a 14" crt monitor. i scaled it 1/2

now is my question, can i eventually send my secondary display content through vnc?
my server graphic card (radeon 9600 pro) is setted to clone the content of my primary display (the 19" tft) to the tv-out at 640x480.
if i can not wih ultravnc i will be pleased when you can eventually tell me another vnc freeware server that can present this feature.

the reason for my request (and not using the scalling all night long) is, that i cant read any text at the client because of the scaling.

thin you would know what i mean or you can imagine it...

sorry for my bad english, im from germany ;)
best regards

yes, this VIEWer can help me, but i do not use any viewer itself. i am using thstation (thinstation.sourceforge.net) on an old machine in my garage.

an other thing to fix may problem will be the following:

with a function like this i can start a shortcut for the program "setres" which resizes my resolution to 640x480
