I Have read throught the manuals etc and have followed the steps but not working for me.
I have an ADSL connection through a zyxel router with dynamic IP address and using NAT. Plugged into the router is my FreeSCO firewall with port forwarding and finally my laptop is plugged into the freeSCO box.
I have setup NO-IP account to track my ip address and is all working (if i type o1f-support.no-ip.biz into browser i get the login windo for my router)
I have created the SC exe file no problem, I have got two things setup an internal support and external support. the internal suport is just routing straight to my local LAN ip address and the external support routes to o1f-support.no-ip.biz on port 7500 (have also tried it with port 5500)
The internal support works perfectly whn i user the VNCViewer listening on port 7500.
I have set my NAT on the router to forward port 7500 to my Freesco box and have set the freesco box to forward port 7500 to my internal IP iddress.
When I start the VNCViewer listening on port 7500 and then on a customers PC (off site) also behind a zyxel router but no firewall, i fire up the sc exe file and select external support from the list it just minimizes to the task bar with a message about trying for 5 mns and then exits.
I have tried taking the freesco box out of the equation and plugging my laptop directly into the Router and setting the NAT to forward port 7500 to my laptops IP ut same thing happens.
Does the clients router have to have port 7500 forwarding to thier IP address aswell. Is there a way around this as I am dealing with customers with VERY limited knowledge of computers
Any ideas?
