SCIII Status
I would also like to thank Rudi for his work, and remind him that we are all waiting him for a continuation of this great program (SCIII)!
Would be really nice to have the first vnc product going easily across a firewall and company proxy server!
The latest version (scIII v4) does not yet do the trick for me!

Status for SCIII?
Hi,
I am using SC today, but some of my customers have firewalls with http proxys, i.e. all port except 80/443 are blocked and nothing but http is allowed to pass through these ports. The SC client connects to my repeater using port 80, but the proxy kills the connection as it isn't http.
How can I bypass the proxy using SC? Is there any working beta of SCIII that solves this problem? I have browsed this forum, but I am not sure about the current status of SCIII.

Same situation here serverside. Firewall and http proxy server with only few ports open. I don't think we have any traffic checking (e.g. to verify if what goes on port 80 is really http), but is the same basic situation.
In this condition SCIII fails. I hope Rudi will restart work on this little magic app sometime!

remember:
if proxy/firewall is really strong, meaning checking every packet header, can't bypass at all if not really a http packet header allowed by policies of firewall/proxy that true for any software !

SCIII Status
I've been playing with SCIII for several weeks now and have been unable to find any serious issues with connections between any hosts/servers. In fact, I have yet to come across a situation where it does not work. I'm curious to know what development steps are being taken now? Or if it is safe to assume that any improvements to the application are going to be visual? Thanks.
