Some corporate proxies will not allow anything but port 80 (OK, maybe passive 21 and/or 443 without CONNECT).
Please allow vnc traffic over port 80.
This is probably not as simple as just configuring vnc traffic to use that port (though that might be a starting experiment).
The viewer would probably have to send valid GET requests via the proxy to the server to enable a 'vnc over http' protocol to return the view data successfully via the proxy.
It has the advantage of being even simpler (to use, maybe not simpler to program than the repeater type solutions.
Cheers

Port 80 for restrictive proxies
About the java viewer
Before my fellow fans of uvnc jump down my throat about the availability of the java viewer and how you can configure the http port.
For those who have not used it, the port number is the http server port for downloading the java applet. The applet still tries to contact port 5900 or whatever the vnc port is. I doubt they could both be set to port 80.
Having got that out of the way, I would appreciate everyones ideas.
Thanks
Dale

I was looking for information on this too.

Has anyone gotten this to work?
I'm not quite clear how this is supposed to work.
Does it solve the problem where you want to run the viewer from a machine that only has access to the internet through a proxy?
(I.E. the VNC communication is done via http get?)
If so, how do you set this up?
