Can repeater bind to a specific IP address?

Post by cerulean47 »

Hi,

I'd like to run a repeater on an existing server, but the server is already a web server and 443 is occupied. However, I have several other IP addresses available on this same box, and I would like to assign the repeater to one of the other IP addresses listening on 443. Is this possible? The repeater dies with a runtime error/abnormal program termination if another process is bound to any other IP and port 443.

For example, assume I have a server with IP addresses 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3. Assume I have a web server on 192.168.1.2:443 and .3 is unused. I would like repeater to listen on .3.

I can't find any reference of configuration for the repeater outside of the fields available from within the repeater itself. There don't appear to be any command line switches, and I don't see any way to restrict the repeater to bind to the ip address of my choice.

Thanks
