Both server and viewer stream are SSL encrypted.
If you have defined a proxyser in the internet options, the SC and viewer try to use this proxy.

I need to test the repeater.
-Multiple users connected.
-Bandwidth
-speed
-stablity
-CPU (SSL double encryption)

An updated repeater(SSL) will follow after this test.

Great

When SCIII starts, the cursor is on the OK-buttom and the ID-field can only be reached with a mouse-click.

Can the ID-field be the default with white background and the content centered.

Does this random ID-number need to be shown as stars ?

Remeber the SC-users pc-level....

Did someone already tried it....

You can test it by running server+viewer on the same PC if you want.
server-->your isp proxy--->uvnc.com(USA)--->your isp proxy--->viewer
(possible some lag because of the big distance to uvnc.com)

Could not see any traffic on uvnc.com
+code does not work
+nobody tested it

I realy need to test the repeater (SSL) before release.
+The repeater need to do a double SSL encryption and want to measure cpu use....try to figure out how many connection can be handle.

Or if someone want to do some tests (mulitple connections) i always can send them the exe of the repeater running on uvnc.com.

I've tried test1 and test2 into two different windows xp one with sp1 and another with sp2 adn with both i recive a windows error and the program breaks, i have no problem with normal sc, i hope it helps

I think i found something...
I ther was no previous proxy defined (internet settings), the registry keys does not exist..

Now my SC also crash..

Some stupid NULL check somewhere in the code

I know, 8000km up and back will not make a fast connection.
But ideal for slow encoder testing

If your isp has a proxy, can you try (set it in your internet options)
and see if we can tunnel the connection thru the proxy...

Current tested on

+netapp netcache proxy (OK)
+MS proxy + firewall @ work: the edp department went crazy as they where not able to block it
(SSL , does not allow content snooping)

close vncviewer.... vncviewer stay in memory !

reason:
new function "close deamon" introduced in previous build that impacted normal viewer usage (mean not using in listen mode)
that make unpossible to start a new session of vncviewer until you kill process vncviewer.exe from task manager

Cpu--> 1% so no problem
network traffic 3-7% (10mb up/down) 3-7Mb
Our server should be able to route 10-15 connections simultanious

my sub ISP futurvision(2wire) use direct connection of network netstream.ch
he don't use proxy or use a transparent proxy unknown name.
I asked her proxy name and config to use, unknown until monday

if user don't react quickly (don't have enough time for unblock access SCIII_test3.exe on windows firewall pop-up warning ),
then SCIII_test3.exe close itself without any message when used with xp sp2 windows firewall enabled

otherwise, if user react quickly, it's work with xp sp2 windows firewall.

scIII is slowly, because host hook video driver not use even is installed and work with classic winvnc 1.0.0 official build

(256 colors fixed, unless you set them manual)

If this happen on SC, Rel1.00 should also have some random problem
with the auto setting....

closed port 443 5500 and 5900 on NAT router and enabled windows firewall and active "don't allow exceptions",
it works for viewer and scIII

I'm very very impressed about your SCIII, so big great work

if only user pushed "Cancel", then re-open vncviewer.

We may expect some some PC knowledge on that site.


Repeater
The only remaining prob is that the SSLrepeater is not stable enough..
I'm trying to find what makes it non functional, possible some 443 portscanners
or standard web access to the repeater.
Still some work on that site, but debug is hard. It does not crash but only
does not longer work.

1st vncviewer_crash_fix connected to client SCIII_test4, OK

Then start 2nd vncviewer_crash_fix from same computer ...
open 2nd session even with an different ID,
vncviewer fail and show "runtime error, abnormal termination"


1st vncviewer_crash_fix session stay alive and continue work as normal

Sorry, multiple viewers are not possible.

Internal ports(59000) use a listener, you can only have 1 listener
on the same port. Dynamic internal ports make the viewer differ to much
from the standard....perhaps later.

The viewer try to port between a try catch, and generates a runtime error
if port is already in use. I could replace the " runtime error" by a message box, but i want to have the errors in the bug build.

You can NOT make multiple viewer connections simultanious.


The question was...try to crash the repeater, as it is more important
that that part keeps running at least a few days without requiring a restart.

uvnc.com is hosted in the USA, not belgium. Cheaper
70$ ->50EURO
Own server, 10Mb up/down, max data volume 1T

The proxy need to be https/socks4/socks5

Repeater was gone....i was hoping that it crashed, but a proper shutdown
does not give me any clue why.

Perhaps i just put a loop around the start

The bmp is loaded from custom file,like background...
You always can replace it.

Extract the exe...and check also the helpdesk.txt.
