Setup INF "installservice" also starts the service

Post by WKjun »

Hi!

I've created an inf file which should just install the service but not start it:

[Setup]
Lang=en
Dir=C:\UltraVNC
Group=UltraVNC
NoIcons=0
SetupType=custom
Components=ultravnc_server,ultravnc_viewer
Tasks=installservice

But it starts the service as if I have used this line:
Tasks=installservice,startservice

Not that important but it would make my life easier to copy the latest executables to that directory after setup finishes. Otherwise winvnc.exe is locked of course.

Kind regards,
Wilhelm
