Did you trying viewer with Quick Options=Ultra and ARC4plugin.dsm v0.0.1 over WLAN WEP 40bits 54Mbit/s to host on LAN 100Mbits ?

hardware
host LAN 100 Mbits/s --- viewer WLAN 54Mbit/s same subnet bridged
host: CPU=PentiumIII-650MHz RAM 1Gb GFX=1280x1024x32
viewer: CPU=Celeron1.5GHz M340 RAM 512Mb GFX=1024x768x32

sofware:
host: RC20.5 + video hook driver + ARC4plugin.dsm XP Pro SP2 US
viewer: RC20.6 + ARC4plugin.dsm XP SP2 Home french
deleted options.vnc before every test !
lang.dll not exist, only viewer + plugin

~1-2 min before viewer closing and winvnc shutdown

There no problem with Quick Options=LAN

Redge,

Ultra encoding is kinda scary. Check with Rudi on what the point of it is...

My understanding is that it sends EVEN MORE updates than usual. Its only good for fast LANs. I'm sure it'll kill wireless.

I'll try it on my wireless connection just for the fun of it. I'll let you know what happens.

I can't seem to get Ultra encoding to work with a plugin. The viewer crashes every time.

Hey Sam, Rudi, Ultra encoding is crashing with plugins. It seems to be crashing in minilzo.c while decompressing. It runs for a few seconds, then crashes.

Any thought?

Is not a new issue. I noticed it since RC18. I just quit using Ultra encoding because is HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL, and the warning is in the conection window.

Quick mode=Ultra if HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL
must be removed before release stable official UltraVNC 1.0
or
would think for some users is a bad software not strong good test with all majors options available. :| even after some comment from RC18 was notified.
