Viewer not saving current encoding with connection info

Post by malventano »

With 1.2.1.0, I've noted that 'Saving connection info as...' always saves the current default encoding ('Save connection settings as default') regardless of the currently selected encoding of that session. With the default encoding to auto, if I begin a session and 'change connection options' encoding to Ultra and then 'Save connection info as...', the resulting .vnc file has QuickOption=1 where it should actually have QuickOption=8. With the current behavior, the user would have to change the UltraVNC Viewer default options prior to saving the session in order for the desired encoding to be saved in the .vnc file, which is the very long way around (but is a workaround).

Start viewer with automode=ON -> quickoptions=1 -> encoders are auto selected
Start viewer with manual mode, quickoptions=2 and saved encoder is used.

I don't know if this is a bug. You select automode on viewer start, then automode is saved.

Saving a configuration should save the currently selected configuration. Currently, is doesn't. I'd think that is a bug.
