Viewer crashes on first connect to seldom-used server

Post by Andrew Henry »

Here's an odd one:

I have a PC that I connect to very infrequently - Windows 7 32-bit, running UVNC 1.0.9.5.

The first time that I connect to it, I'll get a viewer crash after the login and maybe 1/2 second of grey screen. If I wait a minute and connect again, everything works fine (until I connect again a week later). The server PC is pretty fast and isn't set to sleep or anything. No video hook or system hook is enabled on the server.

This happened on 1.0.9.* viewers, and now on 1.1.8.8 (x64), always using Windows 7 64-bit. Here's the event log entry:

Faulting application name: vncviewer.exe, version: 1.1.8.8, time stamp: 0x51571bfa
