Hi,
I installed UVNC 1.0.6.5 on two windows 2000 machines, configured the necessary port forwarding in the router and all worked correctly.
Now - after having installed windows vista Home Premium 64 Bit SP2 on the two machines, keeping the same router (port forwarding) and the same IPs for the 2 machines I ran into trouble.
On both machines (IP 192.168.0.51 and 52) I started VNC Server by help of windows START menue. Pinging each machine from the other one does work correctly. Windows Firewall is disabled but nevertheless I inserted a rule for port 5900. Router was not changed since ports and IPs of the workstations are still the same like mentioned above.
telnet 192.168.0.51 5900 from 192.168.0.52 does not work (time out). The same command on localhost DOES work.
So VNC Viewer does not connect to 192.168.0.51 from 192.168.0.52 and there is not any pop up window on 192.168.0.51 although "Display Query window" is enabled there under admin settings of the running server.
Since I never had problems with uvnc before I wonder why it does not work?
During the setup procedure the setup software tries to download "vista addon files" but is not able to reach the server. Is it possible that THIS is the reason for my problems?
I copied SCHook.dll into the uvnc directory manually to solve the download problem with vista addons.
Thanks for your help and best regards
