Also, when installing 1.5.0.14, when you fire off the installer, it does not list the changes/changelog for version .14

Not sure if this is just me, but in every update from .10 to .13, it would install over the old version (usually 1.5.0.3) just fine, but it would not pick up the previous password. I would always have to go in to server settings and set it manually, and then go to the Windows firewall, and check off ...

1504 was used for internal tests and code was just updated without updating the version, now it's on the forum updates will get an higher number and some change info

(Guessing 1.5.0.6 was the interim one, but was not mentioned here ...

It breaks something with passwords, and leaves a dialog on the screen which does go away. I forget if a reboot fixes it or not, but I won't install this version anywhere else with this issue.

Should roll that fix and any others into a 1.5.0.5 build.

All these changes should really be reflected in version number changes.

Also, ran this fine on one PC.

Had an issue on my home PC, and cannot get out of the notification window. Might just try a reboot to make it go away. Hope it sticks.

Where are the descriptions? It would be helpful to put them right along with the downloads. Unless I just missed it somehow.

Additional information to my above issue:

I downloaded and attempted to install the 1.5.0.1-dev version. It complained about 4 running instances of VNC Viewer. I quit the installer and tried again, same result. I then tried running as Administrator, same result. I then went into Windows Task ...

I have 1.5.0.0-dev, and lately have been seeing a lot of "authentication rejected" when trying to sign on to a computer. It gets me to the computer, and it provides a password entry box, but then I get that message. Is it maybe something to do with a Windows update? It seems recent.

Is it safe to say if you can ping the other computer, you should be able to reach it with VNC?

If not painfully old version is installed, I will just run the installer right on top of the older version.

If it is a much older version, I'll use Windows control panel to uninstall. After that, I'll reboot and then go check that folders were deleted, and if not, delete them. Then I will run ...

This mean that the server stopped unexpected.
Running as service the service start a new instance, but the tray doesn't cleanup until you hover over it.

It could be caused by a FileTransfer bug.
The server to stop unexpected after you disconnect the viewer and have used FT.

I'm trying to get VPN working on my spam. I used to be able to get right in. The way they authenticate has changed.

Maybe one of the next versions should be to specifically address Windows 11 issues. That could even be a parallel path along with other versions for bug fixes only.

In other words, it might be time to take a breath, and reel things in before a new push for features again.

Just a thought.

OK to stick with 1.4.0.9 for a while? Still converting people over from older versions to 1.4.0.9, such as:
1.4.0.8
1.4.0.7
1.4.0.6
1.3.8.2
1.3.8.1
1.3.4.2
1.3.2 ...

You really need to change the version numbers when you make these incremental changes (like the one showing the wrong version as an example).

On a related note, can or does UVNC wake up a sleeping computer? If so, by what mechanism? Is there anything special we should do to allow this on Windows 10 or Windows 11? Thank you.
