No, I used the normal downloads for x64 the .exe and/or the .msi, as Service on both PC's (Windows 10 and Windows 11 fully updated both).

No other problems whatsoever, just a curiosity about the icon image on taskbar!

I recently installed UltraVNC 1.8.2.4 version on Windows 11 Pro laptop, default installation as a service, everything went ok.
I noticed that the icon on the taskbar tray is changed while waiting for connection, and if someone connects then the icon goes back to a "yellow default ...

I've test it with the link you provided , and I got the "old look and feel" of the generated exe ....

I think that the problem that we are facing is that MSI installer doesn't take ANY kind of parameter while installing, as I've tested several msi files
(X64 only ..)

If we have some very simple default options like
- do not install shortcuts on desktop upon installation ...
