Should it be installed only on the Windows versions specified in it's documentation or can it be installed in newer OSs (Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, ...)?

Please consider adding RADIUS and LDAP authentication.
This would allow the use of external authentication systems already in place.

Please consider adding 2 form authentication (2FA).
I suggest something as simple as an email with a confirmation code/PIN to be entered with the password.
The email address to be used must be configured on the VNC server Admin settings before use of course.
