Re: 1.4.0.9 Download
Hi, is your advice to always start with a fresh ini file of the current version, then change settings and deploy that ini file. Or as we do now for years use the same ini files for all versions? We don't use any new functionality.

Re: Very annoying bug on new laptops
Hi Rudi, I thought I did respond. Sorry for that! Your suggestion is indeed working! So thanks a lot for that! Sometimes when I have the issue and it is too frustrating, I use remote powershell to shutdown the service, change the ine file to
EnableHook=0
EnableVirtual=1
And it goes fine.

MS-Logon I vs vnc password authentication. Which is more secure?
Hi,
We always have used password authentication, but same password for all computers. Would the MS-Logon I authentication be a more secure way? So that the IT staff is a member of an vnc AD group which is allowed to do remote sessions. No password needed anymore.
And @rudi, if you have any time ...

This behavior we are seeing on a lot of remote machines, but not java program related. Just all windows/desktop.

Re: Very annoying bug on new laptops
Unfortunately 21h2 still has this issue.
This is the ini we are using for many years. I have not yet tried with an empty one, but since it is working fine on many machines and we never had the issue in the past, I guess the settings should be fine. But I will try it soon.

Clipboard issues all versions
We use vnc for many years and all version have this issue. Clipboard works a couple of times and then it stops. You need to reconnect to machine to get it work again. Can this be fixed?

Leave vncviewer open after ending session
It would be great when leaving a vnc session, the viewer itself stays open, so you can enter new computer name.
Also when connection with a computer failed, or you click on cancel, you need to reopen the program. That is annoying.

Re: Very annoying bug on new laptops
We have an enterprise license, so 20h2 is supported till may 2023, but off course will will upgrade, but that takes some time. Very curious if a newer windows built will fix it.

Re: Very annoying bug on new laptops
Hi SkyBeam, thanks for your reply. We are on 20H2 and will not update to a newer built any soon. The new machines have the latest drivers. Not all have GPU's. I'm not familiar with desktop duplication drivers. I just searched for it and found uvnc documentation. It's under properties and not under ...

Re: Very annoying bug on new laptops
Also the local user of the computer that is taken over with uvnc experience the same issue.
Would be great if there is a fix. We use it for daily support on a lot of computer.

Clipboard stops working
Hi,
I often do remote sessions and I copy/paste admin password. This often only works once and then I have to reconnect to have the clipboard work again.
Any idea why this happens? All versions of vnc.
Thanks,
Sander

Also when starting a program, it will not show up, only on taskbar. Holding mouse above and it will appear.

Very annoying bug on new laptops
Hi,
UltraVNC has issues with latest Dell laptops which are so irritating that you don't want to use vnc anymore. I think all versions of vnc have this issue.
What happens is that it not refreshing the screen. But it is not the total screen, so the refresh button in uvnc menu bar does not solve it ...

Re: 1.2.2.4 pre-release
Just replaced 1.2.2.3 winvnc.exe on remote machine to 1.2.2.4 and mouse cursor was fixed.
One question: In our organization are multiple versions installed. Can I just replace all winvnc.exe files and leave all other files like .dll untouched? Or do I need to deploy the complete software package?

Re: 1.2.2.4 pre-release
Anyone have seen a remote screen filled with horizontal lines and cursor position that is not in sync? I get this on some machines(uvnc 1.2.2.3 and before) and when the user logs off, the screen is fine again. Might be related to custom scale. I set it in registry for all users to 100% but windows ...

Re: Mouse pointer offset problem with Windows 10 scaling
Maybe a related problem. I get a screen full of horizontal black lines on some machines. Logon screen is normal. Also when an UAC sceen is show I see it normally and after I entered credentials, screen stays normal. I think it's related to custom scales.

Thanks for quick reply.
Just checked with vnc viewer. It says authentication rejected. Do you wish to attempt to reconnect.

Wrong password, vnc viewer closes
Hi, would it be possible to enter at least 1 bad password without closing the viewer immediately? I often make a typo or use wrong password.
