anyone else having trouble with the linux reapeater version crashing??

well just tried it again with iteleport or jadduu vnc. when I connect I can see both the view and the server, but my iphone viewer just sits at Authenticating. I have had problems with this software running in service mode. It seems like any time we ever reboot a pc right after we hit ctrl+alt+del and enter a password we get booted from the connection. ChunkVNC ID code = Repeater ID I'm interested in what the purpose would be in allowing 2 of the same ID's? If 2 servers connected to the repeater with the same ID which one does the repeater join with a connecting viewer? If it connects the viewer to the server that connected first what happens ...

am I correct in saying that the linux version does not support encryption?

By the way testing the linux version everything seems to be going great with it.

I only use the mode where you enter an ID number and the repeater matches it.

now I just need to talk the boss into getting me an iphone for testing...

If you look through these forums, this is a known issue.

I however, use the linux reapeater many times a day with no problems at all.

two questions:

1. does this plugin support working over the repeater?

2. you have separate 32/64bit plugins...what if we support clients using a single click and they have both 32 bit and 64 bit systems? do we need to have two different exe builds?

Could have called her by her real name "veronica" but figured I would get even more flak for that.

This would be extremely useful if both the viewer and the server could go through the https 443 connection. I find that sometimes I am at a hotel with my lappy and need to connect to someone and cannot because the hotel blocks all non standard ports.

it is truly 100% random. As I stated earlier, if I have my client dismiss the error, and have them right away run onclick from advantig going through the same repeater everything works fine.

Yeah this is no big deal and I don't mind waiting.

OS is winxp sp2 on all of them. In most cases they get the ID window and are able to read it to me. Sometimes right when I connect it crashes, other times its about 30 seconds into my support session. We don't have a repeater in our office it is hosted offsite so both us and the client remotely ...

I have been testing ChunckVNC at a client's that has 5 offices with about 25 systems at each. On average we have 1 support session a day with one of the offices. I have had to switch back to oneclick support because it seems that about 75% of the time ChunckVNC crashes on the clients pc. Crashes ...

Just an FYI, we use this for our remote support system and also use the Linux flavor of repeater on a CentOS VPS box and have never had a problem with crashes. We do have it installed as a service on linux so who knows if it's just restarting at sight of a problem.

WOOHOO, Can't wait for 4.0. Please at least always keep things an option for service. In many cases we just need to jump in quick to see a message or something of the sort. Installing a service every time we would connect causes so much extra time.

Any time we are using this and we have a laptop that is wireless, the chunckvnc starts before the wireless is connected when rebooting and this causes a window to initiate connection. Is there any way to install the service to verify internet connection first before it tries to connect to the ...

I know you have release a server with SC gui, but is there any way to create 2 direct connections using pchelpware server gui? Basically i want 2 techs, 1 to 5500, and 1 to 5501 without going through any proxy etc, just direct connections.

When i choose high/mid/low and close the viewer, then i open it next time, it does not have my last choice. Instead it defaults back to mid.

Well i dont have debug info, but it was on a ibm r40 laptop and i tested it on a desktop here and it works fine. Couple of questions about helpware. What is the Auto checkbox? Can i do any screen blanking??? Can i use the -autoreconnect switch on a direct connection so that if the connection drops ...

but i tested pchelpware, and it does not have the blank screen function. Also when running it on a pc its give me a error with windows. so i have had some problems testing it.
