Okay, thanks very much - I'll take a look at the powersaving options tomorrow. It's never hung up while actively using it, so you could be right ... It would be good if the viewer could handle the state gracefully ("Client disconnected, or similar"), but I don't expect it's an issue many experience ...

Some more detail.

Windows 8 PC: Viewer
Windows 7 Enterprise x64: Server

Ordinarily when my connection is active the UVNC icon on the server (laptop) is 'yellow'

When the Windows 8 viewer hangs and I look at the server (laptop), the UVNC icon is 'blue'

I just need to restart the viewer, not the server.

But my assumption is that it's a server issue as nothing on the viewer system has changed?
