Re: Cannot install 64bit version. Unable to execute netsh.
The error 193 means ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT , with the description as given in the message box. What exact OS version do you use? I know a few modern Windows versions (especially the server ones) lack the WOW64 layer required to run 32-bit applications on 64-bit Windows. But it would be very very very ...

I edited your post so the .cmd file can be copied&pasted.
Also, no, I think he didn't start any serious efforts as of yet. Will bug him again today. Otherwise you can send him a PM, see the post where I mentioned him first. The link to his profile is included.

Re: No MSI installer for 1.1.8
The downloads page only has an .exe download, no .msi download. Did they stop releasing it in .msi for a reason? I'm trying to automate an install (and uninstall of previous versions), and it would be a helluva lot easier if it was in .msi form, since I don't have a package creator. I merged your ...

Re: why no msi installer anymore?
Which prompts me to ask whether you have done any serious projects with WiX? I'd say a project with worldwide more than 500 enterprise customers and a cashflow of nearly a million dollar the year is a serious project. I'd say it is, yep. So you did that with WiX as was part of the question? Mind to ...

Re: why no msi installer anymore?
Good news, said friend and colleague said he would chime in on this and contribute a WiX-based installer. With WIX you can do everything you need, you can use every hook the windows installer offers you. But It has no GUI. The only GUI I know is WixEdit. I tested this tool and found ...

Re: why no msi installer anymore?
If someone has an idea or already made something with a freeware application please let me know. The msi generator need to be able to differentiate between OS's, and select exe based on the OS. Rudi, I strongly suggest to consider WiX. For example the MS Office installer has been authored with it ...

Sorry, but...why the hostility? No hostility was intended and I'm not sure how it could be construed as such. :tomato: Be that as it is: I am not the maintainer of UVNC, that'd be Rudi and Sam. Rudi currently took a break because of family matters and as for Sam I don't know. Haven't talked to him ...

Re: why no msi installer anymore?
Folks, please keep it real. Being a FLOSS developer myself I know that it may seem odd to you, but we spend much of our spare time for the benefit of others already. And we have to set priorities, too. Nothing keeps anyone from slapping up a proper WiX-based MSI installer and donating it to the ...

Re: RSS (RemoteSupportSystem.com) purchase UltraVNC SC
Interesting... so are the only modifications to the GPLd code the reshacks? For the C/C++ binaries it looks like that, yes. We'd have to compare any released binary so far and we could find the version they're based on. Either way, it's not my business. I don't own the copyright to UltraVNC (or ...

Re: RSS (RemoteSupportSystem.com) purchase UltraVNC SC
7z code is missing from the source package they provide. Copyright notice has been removed/replaced in some cases, which - to my knowledge - does not comply with the GPL. Adding your own copyright to source and binaries is okay, pretending that one owns the fully copyright is not. I also doubt MS ...

Re: RSS (RemoteSupportSystem.com) purchase UltraVNC SC
On the Website and in the Program is no Link or reference to UltraVNC. The Exe-File is an rssvnc.exe but it's a renamed winvnc.exe (Fileversion 1.0.0.18 Copyright UltraVNC) Where can I send the binaries? Not needed anymore, looking at the non-commercial version is quite sufficient :) Legally there ...

If this is the case we'd need a binary from them to verify it. However, keep in mind that Rudi offers some of his code commercially.

Re: SC small exe Update 2011
This is working great so far except for one small problem. When it exits, the server uninstall causes the program compatibility assistant to launch, asking if the program installed correctly or should it search for a solution. Is there a workaround for this? Not a huge deal, but still an annoyance ...
