I'm sorry to say that even 1.1.9 does not connect to (all?) old servers. I've just seen the same disconnects as before when connecting a 1.1.9 viewer to a 1.0.9.5 server.
I will check for more old servers in the next days.

I always get a "Server closed connection - The server running as application" error when connecting with a 1.1.8.7 or 1.1.8.8 viewer to a server with 1.0.8.2 or 1.0.9.x.

Using vncviewer.exe version 1.0.9.2 everything is fine.

And yes, of course, all the servers running as service, none running as ...

Viewer and server 1.1.8, server installed in Hyper-V VM with 2008R2.
The server always falls back to 16 colors when the viewer connects, same on console and in viewer window.

1) (Minor issue): The 64bit setup and the zip-file do not contain the drivers. They are only in the resp. 32bit versions of setup and zip. Nevertheless the 64bit setup tries to install the driver from its subdirectory and, of course, complains about missing driver files.

Me too. Some (not all) 2003 boxes stop responding to viewer's activity after some time of inactivity on the viewer. It is only a short time of inactivity and it has nothing to do with screensaver on the server. Even boxes without screensaver turned on show this freezing. And those boxes have ...
