Re: Should I hold Off on PcHelpWare Rel 1.0?
After remote controlling several PCs I can say that at this time UltraVNC SC is still more reliable than PCHelpWare. To give you numbers, UVNC SC perfectly runs on 9 out of 10 PCs and PCHelpWare perfectly runs on 7 out of 10 PCs. That's my experience. Maybe others have other thoughts.

Re: Fails to load library 1SCDLL.dll
I executed my compiled PCHelpware.exe on a nearly fresh installed Maxdata PC and nothing happened after seeing the progress bar while the files being extracted - the program showing the screen with the connect button never appeared on the screen. This was the first time I saw PCHelpware didnt't even ...

still small bug: after closing the server, the empty folder C:\temp_phw\ still remains on the hard disk. that should be removed after usage.

Re: Ctrl+Alt+Del
In my opinion this is not possible due to security reasons. UVNC SC doesn't allow this key combination, too. This is only possible by using UVNC installed as a service.

Re: Switching to Administrator
Why not use the windows built-in 'runas' command?
There are also some other methods using a cmd file named 'MakeMeAdmin' which temporarily puts the logged-in user to the local admin group

Re: SC and UltraVNC sever
Do you use a non-standard mouse cursor on the remote machine? There is a bug in uvnc sc that causes the connection to drop right after the connect when the machine you are remotely using uses a 3D-mouse cursor. Try to set it back to the standard mouse cursor and try again. If connection still drops ...

Now I can confirm that the "3D-White" cursor broke UVNC SC. With the standard cursor all works fine again. So, any update planned for this? I think thats a serious bug and should be handled and solved with priority.

I also have this problem with a PC running on German WinXP SP2. UVNC SC worked on that PC already some time ago but suddenly it stopped working with the same problems you described. I never could track it down why it stopped working some day. I just gave it up. But now I will try the "standard mouse ...
