I have used PCHelpWare for a few years, very successfully (thank you).
But a while ago the password disappeared from the .phw viewer file that I use and I must manually type the password into the viewer screen every time I use the viewer to connect with a client.

A key boot file on my WinXP Pro went bonkers and could not be repaired doing a WinXP repair install, so I did a full XP reinstall. I then reinstalled apps (aaarrrgggghhhh!) and restored data from the previous night's backup.

Figured out the problem, but don't know why it happened.
The password was saved in the viewer configuration file, but for some reason the password was lost, so the server was providing a password for a viewer that didn't have a password (field was blank). I re-entered the password into the viewer ...
